Music |
The school has a specialist music teacher who teaches all students
music including singing, playing and music listening skills.
The School's Instrumental Music Program offers specialist tuition in
stringed, brass and woodwind instruments to selected students.
Sixty students in Years 4-7 enjoy the benefits of the Instrumental
Music Program. They can continue this program in secondary
school.

part of an ensemble which performs at school assemblies and special
community events. |

Information & Communication
Technologies (ICT) |
|
All classes from Kindy to Yr 7 are networked with access to specific
programs, intranet and internet. The school acknowledges the
value of ICT as a tool to improve learning opportunities across the
learning areas. A co-ordinator has been appointed to support
staff and students across the school. |
|
Students at Education Risk (SaER) |
|
Bull Creek Primary School recognises the need to address the needs
of Students at Education Risk. The SaER Coordinator liaises
with staff to identify students at risk and put in place an
appropriate educational plan to meet their needs. Parent
interviews are held on a regular basis to ensure the staff and
families work in a partnership towards supporting the students'
education. |
|
Road Safety/Bike Education |
|
This long standing program continues to develop. Students
learn about road safety, how to ride their bikes safely and basic
bicycle maintenance. Senior students are involved in practical
excursions to demonstrate their stills. Students have been
very successful in the winning the 'Cyclist of the Year' Competition
for 2003. |
|
Languages Other Than English

Year 3 to Year 7. There has been a focus on integrating LOTE
into the general classroom curriculum in 2003. |

| Waste
Wise Program |
|
We can save the world. Bull Creek Primary school is an accredited
Waste Wise school.
The
Waste Wise program involves recycling of paper, tea bags, cans and
lots more. We have setup worm farms onsite and students
learn about the environment. Students are involved in the
marketing and sale of the worm brew (made from worm castings) to
parents and the community who use it as a natural and safe
fertiliser on gardens. |
